II. 4-Hour Tour

1. Countryside – Thien Ha Galaxy Cave – Bai Dinh Jungle Farm
08:00 am: Depart from Bai Dinh Garden Resort by Jeep with our local guide. We start by embracing the traditional charm of the countryside market. Shop for local products and sample specialty cakes from the region. Experience Dong Lua Road, immerse your self in the beautiful scenery. Soak in views of Rice and Corn fields and beds of seasonal green vegetables as you pass through traditional villages. Take a 30 minute forest walk and learn simple survival skills from our experts or opt for a boat ride to enjoy the scenery. Explore Thien Ha Cave – Buddha Cave, all by boat on the truly romantic Ben Dang River. A small hike will lead us to Thien Thanh Cave, located in the heart of one of the worlds’ UNESCO cultural and natural heritage sites. Preserved here are many archaeological relics of our Vietnamese ancestors, safe within the pristine and mysterious caves. On the way back, we visit Bai Dinh Jungle Farm to spend some time with the rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, ostriches and horses, etc.
11:30 am: Return to Bai Dinh Garden Resort to enjoy delicious local dishes and relax.

2. Hoa Lu Ancient Village – Van Long Nature Reserve
01:30 pm: Depart from Bai Dinh Garden Resort by Jeep, and our local guide leading the way through the most picturesque roads in Ninh Binh. As we journey from Bai Dinh to Trang An, marvel at the lush green grass of the Bo De range and the majestic limestone mountains of Hoa Lu. Stop at Chi Phong ancient village to interact with locals, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable insights into their rich culture and daily life. Then, explore the enchanting streets of the legendary Hoa Lu capital, winding through charming alleys and hamlets. Continue the adventure, the Jeep will transport you to Van Long wharf, where you will participate in an approx. 1.5-hour journey to discover the largest wetland reserve in Vietnam. Here, you will witness the breathtaking sunset, feel the serenity when the birds fly back to their nests, and even catch a glimpse of the rare white-rumped langur living in its natural habitats.
17:00 pm: Return to the Bai Dinh Garden Resort on a new road, we will pass through peaceful villages and vast fields, indulging in the tranquility of rural life.

08:00 , Meet our Tour guide at reception and take private car to Cuc Phuong National Park. Please remember to pack your hats, sunglasses, camera and most of all ‘ your sense of adventure’. Cuc Phuong boasts an engaging cultural and wildlife heritage and enchanting scenery. Magnificent Limestone Mountains rise up majestically from the green rice-terraces and traditional stilt houses of the Muong hill-tribe. Covered in dense forest, this landscape forms the habitat for some of Asia’s rarest animal and plant species. It is no wonder that researchers, naturalists, enthusiasts and conservationists alike are drawn to this corner of the world. The ancient forest harbours over 2234 vascular and non-vascular plants, 122 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 135 species mammals, including the Clouded Leopard, Delacour’s Langur, Owston’s Civet and Asian Black Bear. There are also an incredible 336 documented bird species. Visitors in April and May should be blessed with the chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies. Located on 2 limestone mountain ranges, the landscape of Cuc Phuong contains a wonderfully rich ecosystem. The rocky outcrops of Cuc Phuong form the site of valuable pale ontological and anthropological vestiges, including a fossilized sea reptile dated at 200 – 230 million years old, while the remains of prehistoric people who lived in the forest some 7500 years ago are also to be found in the numerous mountain caves. In earlier times, Cuc Phuong was home to the Muong minority people and to this day a few scattered villages around the park’s periphery still house these interesting people and their unique culture. If you visit these communities you can still see their traditional stilt houses, waterwheels, bamboo rafts and brocade looms.

– 12:00 Enjoy a fabulous lunch in a Vietnamese restaurant.

– After lunch has settled we visit Van Long Floating Village. It is considered an overland equivalent of Halong Bay with imposing cliffs and mountains and vast lakes which form a stunning landscape. Van Long has 33 caves of different sizes but only some of them are open to tourists. Coming to the site, suggest you take ‘bamboo basket boat tours’ to see Delacour’s langur in Ca Cave and the shades of mountains reflected on the crystal clear water surface in Bong Cave. A sightseeing trip by boat takes around one hour and a half . late in the afternoon to admire the breathtaking view of flocks of storks returning to their nests at sunset. Van Long Nature Reserve holds two national records: the biggest community of Delacour’s langur and the largest natural painting. The biggest wetland nature reserve site in the northern delta with an area of 3,500 hectares is home to thousands of terrestrial and aquatic animals and plants. Among them are rare and endangered species such as waterfowl, giant water bug which is in Vietnam’s Red Book, and Delacour’s langur, a critically endangered species at home and abroad.

From here our driver will pick you up back to Bai Dinh Riverside Resort & Spa.
